After an extensive trial and error process ran on multiple testnets over a period of almost an year, PolkaBridge has finally launched its long awaited decentralized P2P marketplace on 03 April. Initially, it has been launched on the Ethereum and the Binance Smart Chain (BSC) blockchains and offers support for PBR (Ethereum & BSC), USDT (Ethereum & BSC), ETH, USDC, DAI, BNB and BUSD. We also offer an initial support for over 40 FIAT currencies too.

First Ever DeFi Component

This PolkaBridge decentralized P2P marketplace marks the launch of the first ever such platform in the decentralized finance (DeFi) ecosystem. There have been other DeFi primitives for stablecoins, lending/borrowing, automated market makers (AMM), other decentralized exchanges for crypto exchange, liquidity mining, token launch platforms etc. But there hasn’t been any decentralized P2P marketplace yet.

A Global Non-KYC Platform

PolkaBridge P2P marketplace is a global smart contract powered platform, which allows users to securely and safely crypto to FIAT and vice versa. It requires no know your customer (KYC) process, which means that it operates without disclosing the user’s identity. This is possible because the platform is decentralized and works without third parties and intermediaries.

International Currencies

PolkaBridge decentralized P2P marketplace supports a long list of international FIAT currencies, which are most recognized and widely used as a medium of exchange. So far, we have tried to focus on currencies from developing countries, which are likely candidates for crypto adoption.

There are multiple payment modes to choose from to settle off-chain transactions. We offer a mix of bank transfers, Paypal, Western Union, in person cash, Google Pay etc. to name a few. Our platform comes with 24/7 dispute resolution services. We hold the funds in escrow in smart contracts, until both parties confirm that the transaction has been settled and funds should be released. We safeguard against risk of theft, loss and non-settlemetn of the transaction. There is a leaderboard available also, where active and high volume traders can be identified over a given period of time.
