PolkaBridge June 2022 Update

We are halfway through the year, and the PolkaBridge team has more updates to deliver for June 2022. Despite the fact that the overall crypto market is down, we are still keeping fast at work and building our platform further. In the last month, we have completed most work on our decentralized peer 2 peer (P2P) trading platform, launched the Freedom of Speech 3.0 campaign, the Fight of the Ages (FOTA) Initial NFT Offering (INO), organized a meet-up in South Africa, a community call, and Twitter Space. Let’s read about them in detail!

PolkaBridge Decentralized P2P Platform

We announced on Jun 02 the progress of our decentralized P2P platform, which would allow users to trade crypto-FIAT and crypto-FIAT in a trustless manner, negating the need for centralized platforms to provide such a service. Until now, we have completed 60% of the progress and it will be soon ready to launch.

Freedom Of Speech 3.0 Campaign

We have also been running a freedom of speech 3.0 campaign throughout the month of June in which we give new topics every day, and request the community to share their opinion, and discuss them. It’s a way to raise awareness and engagement, and simply make the community participate more. To incentivize the spread and dissemination of knowledge, we give out periodic rewards for the crypto/Web3 topics.

PolkaBridge INO — Fight Of The Ages (FOTA)

PolkaBridge held another Initial NFT Offering (INO) for the project Fight Of The Ages (FOTA) on Jun 28, which offered the purchase of 5 hero types for the game — Aedus, Grimm, Octonus, Amaltheus, and Aprum. According to the official description “ FOTA is a triple-A MOBA Game project owned by Meta Djinn Pte Ltd and based in Singapore, with a fantasy universe inhabited by many races throughout the universe. In the world of FOTA, NFT Technology is optimized so that users can feel the possibility of owning valuable digital assets during the journey”.

Nigeria Meetup

The PolkaBridge community in Nigeria also held a meetup on Jun 19 to discuss important developments and to organize a get-together for fellow PolkaBridge community members. It was a great success that showed that PolkaBridge is a worldwide community, which is active and focuses on high participation from its community.

PolkaBridge Community Call

For updating the community on our latest progress and development, PolkaBridge marketing manager Sonali Rawat held a community call on our Telegram on Jun 22. The general state of the market, our efforts to steer the community and project through it, and the latest happenings were discussed with the PolkaBridge community.

Building In A Bear Market Twitter Space

We also held a Twitter Space titled “Building In A Bear Market” on Jun 30. It was again hosted by our marketing manager Sonali Rawat along with FabWelt’s CEO Abhishek Pegada and TomoChain Product Manager Lak. We discussed the continuity of the BUIDL mentality in organized and determined Web3 teams, our recent efforts for research and innovation in our respective projects, and the overall crypto atmosphere.
