Just like that, another month has passed bringing us closer to the end of the year 2022. The month of September was marked by PolkaBridge Ventures investing in multiple promising projects including certain metaverse project, P2E, crypto infrastructure, compliance and best of all, collaborations with other funds! We have had our 13th monthly burn, the P2P marketplace testnet launch and much more. Let’s dig in.

PolkaBridge Ventures Invests In Web3Port

PolkaBridge Ventures — the newly launched VC arm of the ecosystem announced it’s investment into Web3Port on Sep 02 in a bid to accelerate funding into early stage conceptual Web3 projects to bring them to fruition. We want to help the Web3 ecosystem achieve long term growth and development by funding highly talented teams.

PolkaBridge Blockombat IDO

Blockombat IDO went live on the PolkaBride on Sep 03. It’s a P2E (play to earn) 3D multichain, GameFi ecosystem with NFTs rewards. This is yet another Metaverse project which is getting listed on the PolkaBridge platform signifying the importance we put into this crypto subfield. We have the specific aim of providing a plethora of options for our community to select the best project (or multiples of) from.

PolkaBridge Ventures Astra Protocol Investment

We made another investment via PolkaBridge Ventures in Astra Protocol on Sep 04. Astra Protocol is aiming to develop a compliance layer for decentralized finance (DeFi) to allow protocols to comply with regulations while preserving decentralization and safeguarding investor’s money. This is a new area of focus for the PokaBridge Ventures as governments around the world are paying attention to crypto regulations.

PolkaBridge Ventures has also chosen to invest in a bitsCrunch on Sep 05 — a blockchain analytics firm which is working to extract useful information from on-chain data to provide users with actionable knowledge and to assist them in forming situational awareness regarding the crypto market, it has a special focus on artificial intelligence (AI) assistance to decode data.

PolkaBridge Ventures: Tatsumeeko Investment

We have also participated in the funding round of Tatsumeeko on Sep 06. A MMORPG-lite to form a connection of Discord and other social media platforms to a modern fantasy RPG world, creating a vibrant and engaging Metaverse for users. PolkaBridge Ventures is proud to participate in this venture aimed at expanding the Metaverse to include more commonly used platforms.

PolkaBridge Ventures Invests In HUMANODE

PolkaBridge Ventures invested in Humanode also on Sep 08. The project is crypto-biometric where one person is one node, relying on Proof-of-Uniqueness and Proof-of-Existence to invoke sybil resistance. It provides such protection by relying on human generated uniqueness and verification layers.

13th PBR Burn

The 13th PBR burn was also executed on Sep 10. Around 500,000 PBR were burned having an approximate value of $40,000. PolkaBridge circulating supply is now 64 million while the burned supply is 36 million. This monthly burn is a great way to reduce circulating supply and raise the value of existing tokens in the meantime.

PolkaBridge Ventures Invests In Magic Square

We entered into yet another significant partnership with Magic Square on Sep 14. It’s a project aimed at simplifying crypto design and a place where users can discover different protocols of Web3 and crypto world through an intuitive interface. The current landscape works only for users with moderate technical understanding and doesn’t an easy way to onboard new crypto participants, something which Magic Square is aiming to change.

PolkaBridge x Unreal Capital

On Sep 15, PolkaBridge Ventures partnered with Unreal Capital an international investment fund which shares PolkaBridge Ventures vision for the future and it’s objective to get funds to the most promising projects changing the crypto landscape. Unreal Capital has extensive experience in capital allocation and we would love to benefit from that!

P2P Platform Testnet Lauch

PolkaBridge team focuses on new ideas and deviations from the normal, so we have been working on this P2P marketplace for a while to allow users to exchange crypto assets to FIAT and back. Finally, we launched the testnet v1.0 on Sep 26 with mainnet planned for a gradual launch in November. It’s the first decentralized P2P exchange testnet and we will using the user’s feedback to improve on things in the final version. For starters, we are putting out the chat, notiy, despite, leaderboard functions with the aim to update the testnet versions every two weeks!

PolkaBridge Ventures x BlueMove

We have also partnered with BlueMove — a community first NFT marketplace on the upcoming Aptos and Sui blockchain. Since these are the new blockchains in, we wanted to get a head start into these blockchain’s infrastructure. The testnet has been released and the projects incentivizes participations.
